Mahroo Moosavi

Mahroo Moosavi is a PhD researcher and teacher in Architectural History and Theory at the University of Sydney. Her research is concerned with the intertext of architecture and poetry, through an interdisciplinary study of architectural theory, literature, and philosophy. She has published in two conference proceedings of Symposia Iranica, The International Conference on Iranian Studies, University of Cambridge: “Dusky Spaces: An Exploration of the Notion of Light in the Architecture of Shaykh Lutfullah Mosque through the Lens of the Isfahani Style of Poetry” (2017) and “Translating Essence: Conceptions of the City in Safavid Poetics,” (2015).
