Ioana Bot

Ioana Bot is Professor of Romanian Literary Studies at the Faculty of Letters, Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. Her academic interests include Romanian Modern and Contemporary Literature (19th to 21st centuries), the history of European literary ideas, historical poetics, literature of the Romanian exile. She edited the communist prison memoirs of Lena Constante for Humanitas Publishing House (2013). She translated fiction and literary theory from and into French, Romanian, Finnish, Italian, English. Last published books in Romanian: Eminescu explicat fratelui meu [Eminescu explained to my brother] (2012) and Autoportret cu principii [Self portrait with principles] (2016).
