Ashima Shrawan teaches Comparative Poetics (Indian and Western Poetics) at Department of English, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, India. Her research interests include Indian Poetics, Western Poetics and Classical literatures in English. Shrawan’s recent publications and talks include Mahabharata (Bhishma Parva and Gita (2015), Perspectivising Aesthetics of Literature: A Note (2013), Ānandavardhana’S Theory of dhvani and Deconstruction: Affinities and Parallelisms (2016), Understanding Women Empowerment: Women Characters in The Mahabharata (2015), On Language and its Meaning: Indian Theories (2015).
