Iulia Vîrban
Iulia-Maria Vîrban (b. 2001) is a first-year MA student at the Faculty of Letters, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Her research is interested in everything that pans Romanian studies in recent years at the intersection with new emerging methods (transnational studies, feminist aesthetics, World Literature, digital humanities, etc.). She conducts individual research funded by the Institute of Scientific and Technological Advanced Research of Babeș-Bolyai University in 2024. The project investigates the international reception of Bessarabian literature and the forms of imposition between centers and peripheries, using methods of close reading, World Literature, and literary sociology. In the present, she is the deputy editor-in-chief of “Echinox”, and her work appears in Scopus/ESCI-indexed journals such as Transilvania.
