Uchechukwu Peter Umezurike

Uchechukwu Peter Umezurike is an assistant professor, poet, and fiction writer in the Department of English, University of Calgary. His research interests include African and African Diaspora literatures, postcolonial literatures, gender and sexuality, cultural studies, and creative writing. He has published his critical writing in Men and Masculinities, NORMA: Nordic Journal of Masculinity Studies, Journal of African Cultural Studies, Tydskrif vir Letterkunde, Postcolonial Text, and Cultural Studies. Umezurike is the author of creative works such as Double Wahala, Double Trouble (2021), Wish Maker (2021), and there’s more, a poetry collection forthcoming from the University of Alberta in 2023.
