Didier Coste

Didier Coste is Professor Emeritus of Comparative Literature at Montaigne University, Bordeaux, France. He has taught Comparative Literature and Literary Theory, Translation Studies, Semiotics and Cultural History in Belgium, Australia, Spain, Canada, the USA, Argentina, and Tunisia, and has been twice a Research Fellow of Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi). He has published over 150 papers in English, French, and Spanish in international journals and edited collections. His Narrative as Communication (1989) was a landmark in the field of narrative theory. He is also a novelist, poet and playwright, in French and English (lastly, Indian Poems, Calcutta, 2019).
