Monica Manolachi

Monica Manolachi is a lecturer at the Department of Modern Languages, Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of Bucharest. Her research interests are Caribbean literature and culture, contemporary Anglophone literature, postcolonial and cultural studies, Romanian literature in translation, translation theory and literary translation. Performative Identities in Contemporary Caribbean British Poetry (2017) is part of her work as a researcher and literary critic. Two of her recent published articles are “December 1989 and the Concept of Revolution in the Prose of Romanian Women Writers” (2020) and “Multiethnic Resonances in Derek Walcott’s Poetry” (2019).
