Mihaela Vancea

Mihaela Vancea is a Ph.D. student at UMFST (George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureș) with a thesis on writers with a double identity. She investigates the subject of Romanian writers that emigrated to the United States and the connection of Diaspora Literature with World Literature. Her research interests involve postmodern Romanian literature, literary theory and criticism, World Literature theories, and transnational and quantitative studies. She published articles and book/film reviews in several cultural magazines such as Cultura, Euphorion, Vatra, Metacritic Journal, Steaua, Observator Cultural, and Echinox.
