Maryam Muliaee

Dr. Maryam Muliaee is a media artist-scholar and currently a Post-doctoral Associate in the Department of Critical Media Practices at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research focuses on media archaeology, media theory, feminist new materialism, and non-communication aesthetics in media arts. She is the co-founding editor of MAST, The Journal of Media Art Study and Theory, an open-access and double-blind peer-reviewed journal housed in the State University of New York at Buffalo and dedicated to interdisciplinary research and practice-based studies. Her recent publications include a co-edited issue titled “Mapping Media Studies” in MAST (April 2020), and a co-authored book chapter, “Fai(lure): Encounter with the Unstable Medium in the Work of Art” in the collection of Miscommunications: Errors, Mistakes, Media (Bloomsbury Publishing, Jan 2021).
