Ștefan Baghiu

Ștefan Baghiu is a PhD and Assistant Professor of Romanian Literature and Literary Theory with the Department of Romance Studies at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. His PhD thesis consists of a quantitative analysis of the translation of novels in Romania during the communist period between 1948 and 1989. He now works on a postdoctoral research on the translation of novels in the Romanian space between 1794 and 1947. He co-edited The Culture of Translation in Romania (Berlin: Peter Lang, 2018) and Ruralism and Literature in Romania (Berlin: Peter Lang, 2019).
