Marius Conkan & Daiana Gârdan
Marius Conkan holds a PhD in comparative literature and is research assistant at the Faculty of Letters, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. He is also a poet, an essayist and a literary critic for some of the most important cultural magazines of Romania. As a researcher, he was member of two projects focused on the analysis of space in literature: Antiutopias: Making and Unmaking the Reality and Geographies of Transition in Post-Communist Romanian Literature. In 2017 he published his first book on literary theory, The Portal and the Secondary Worlds. Spatial Typologies in Fantasy Literature [Portalul și lumile secundare. Tipologii ale spațiului în literatura fantasy].
Daiana Gârdan is a PhD Candidate at the Faculty of Letters of the “Babeș-Bolyai University”, in Cluj-Napoca. She authored several studies in that focused on quantitative studies on the erotic novel and novels written by women in Romania, as well as transnational perspectives on canonical writers. She is also a contributor at the Romanian literary magazines "Steaua", "Tribuna" and “Vatra”, where she writes reviews and articles on contemporary Romanian literature and literary criticism.
